Venice is a city of blacksmiths, the Cannaregio in particular being the centre of iron production.

The architect Carlo Scarpa used the workshop of  Francesco e Paolo Zanon in his designs.
The future of the workshop is dubious as Zanon is the last producer of blacksmith services in the city of Venice.

To address this erosion of Venetian patrimony, my scheme will include a school for blacksmiths.
